Prince Philippe of Belgium to Highlight Chamber’s Annual Gala

“A limited number” of sponsors of the Belgian American Chamber of Commerce’s upcoming “Taste of Belgium” will be permitted to visit with H.R.H. Crown Prince Philippe before the event, Werner Boel, the chamber’s executive director, told GlobalFax last week.
Gov. Roy Barnes and former U.S. ambassadors to Belgium Alan Blinken and Anne Cox Chambers of Atlanta also are scheduled to attend as are many other local officials and senior business executives.
Executive Chef Debra Desaulniers of the SwissÙtel will create the five-course menu together with Michel Theurel, executive chef of the Michelin-starred restaurant “La Maison du Boeuf” at the Hilton Hotel in Brussels. Mr. Theurel will travel to Atlanta with his assistant Christian Albrecht to prepare the food.
Individual tickets to attend cost $150 with table of 10 ranging from $1,200 each to $5,000.
